Design & Build
The most striking difference between the original launch PS5 and the Slim model is the reduction in bulk. Sony managed to trim the volume by more than 30 percent, making the console much easier to fit into tight entertainment centers and TV units common in urban Kenyan homes. The matte and gloss white panel finish remains sleek, and the iconic DualSense wireless controller still ships in the box, delivering adaptive triggers and haptic feedback that truly immerse you in the game.
When you purchase a pre-owned PS5 Slim, you get a meticulously tested console that maintains the robust structural integrity and efficient cooling system Sony is known for. The revised chassis keeps operating temperatures low, even during long gaming sessions playing demanding titles like EA Sports FC or Spider-Man 2.
Performance
Underneath the hood, the PS5 Slim packs the exact same punch as the original model. The custom 1TB NVMe SSD changes everything about how games load—fast travel in open-world RPGs happens almost instantaneously, eliminating the tedious loading screens of previous generations. Frame rates are buttery smooth, with support for 120Hz output on compatible gaming monitors and TVs.
The console handles intensive titles effortlessly, ensuring you experience crisp textures and realistic lighting via hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Combined with Tempest 3D AudioTech, you get precise spatial audio whether you use a gaming headset or your living room sound system.
